Now you don’t need to sit awake so that you can reach your destination because IRCTC will give you a wake-up call on your registered mobile number half an hour before the arrival of your station. This is an interesting feature of IRCTC and many passengers are using this facility to sleep peacefully during travel. It is very easy to set wake up alarm alert from your mobile phone only you need to dial 139 on your mobile phone and select the option for ‘Destination Alert’ on the recorded Voice. This is a free service offered by Indian railways department only call and SMS charges are applicable according to respective mobile operators.

When you will call on 139 then Rs. 1.20 for a pulse of 60 seconds will be deducted from your mobile in Metro cities. From nonmetro cities/areas, Rs. 2 for a pulse of 60 seconds will be deducted from your mobile phone.
SMS cost for sending a request for IRCTC Destination Wake Up Alarm Alert will be charged is Rs. 3 per SMS.
