PNR stand for ‘Passenger Name Record’, it is a 10 digit number written on the left side of the railway ticket. PNR is a record of passengers of Indian railways that are stored in the Indian Railways computer reservation system. 2. Then click on Know your railway PNR status

D. Know your PNR Status At Railway Enquiry Counters:

Go to the railway inquiry counter window and ask them to tell your railway PNR status.

E. Know your PNR Status From Final Reservation Charts:

Generally, final reservation chart is prepared before two or three hours of train departure time. This reservation chart is placed on the notice board of the railway station platforms.

At the time of ticket booking, you will find a train name/ class/seat/berth along with the date and time. When you buy a ticket with WL5/WL2. When you reached to WL 5/RAC 3 that means you can board the train, but no berth will be allocated to you.

On the other hand, when you reaches to WL 5/CNF that means your ticket is confirmed and you can board the train and you have also a berth. When your ticket history show WL and RAC refunds, it means your ticket is not confirmed and your amount will be automatically refunded to your bank account.
