As the name suggests this temple is dedicated to the Lord Ganesha. The main idol of Lord Ganesha Which is situated in this Thiruvananthapuram temple is also quite unique. The Ganesha Idol is in a seated position with the right leg folded. To enter this temple like many of the Temples in Kerala Men have to wear Mundu which is a traditional piece of clothing and should not wear any upper body clothes like shirt or t-shirt. For women, it is satisfactory to wear any of the traditional attires like Saree. In this temple, there are various sculptures among them there are 32 different sculptures which represent different forms of Lord Ganesha. Along with the main deity, Ganesha people also come here to worship many other deities such as Shree Durga, Shastha, Nagaraja which are present in the temple.

ATTUKAL BHAGAVATHY TEMPLE – THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

This temple is a very small Trivandrum temple dedicated to the Attukal Bhagavathy or Attukal Devi holds a very special position. It is also known as the Sabarimala of women. This temple attracts large women crowd during the Attukal Pongala Festival. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. Which really is a form of Mahakali who successfully killed the demon Daruka and it is said that she was born from the third eye of Lord Shiva. Bhadra basically means Good and Kali means Goddess of time. so if you were to put these terms together you will find that Bhadrakali is considered to be Goddess of Prosperity as well as Salvation. As I mentioned earlier the Temple is really famous for Attukal Pongala festival where over three million women take part. The temple is open for visiting for all the devotees and tourists between the periods of Morning 4:30 to afternoon 12:30 and in the evening it is opened from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. AAZHIMALA SIVA TEMPLE – TRIVANDRUM

This is also one of the most beautiful temples you will ever see in the city of Trivandrum. The most beautiful part of this temple is that it is situated near a beach called Aazhimala. It takes around 30 minutes of travelling by road from the main Trivandrum city to the Aazhimala Beach. The beach itself provides you with a different experience and the Shiva Temple is also a great addition. This is one of the best places where you can meditate. If you plan to visit the temple then I really advise you to visit it during the time of sunset as it looks much more beautiful. The Lord Shiva Idol which is the main deity of this temple is facing the Arabian sea and it looks marvellous. There is no specific dress code to visit this temple although it is advisable not wear revealing clothing.

PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE – TRIVANDRUM (THIRUVANANTHAPURAM)

This is the main reason why most of the people around the world visit the city of the Trivandrum. This great temple is mostly famous because of its mix architectural style which includes both the fusion of Keraliya Architecture as well as the Dravidian Architecture. This temple features High walls and 16th-century Gopuram. Gopuram is a Sanskrit word which translates to Monumental tower which you will find mostly at the entrances of the many temples. The devotees visiting this temple must strictly follow the dress code which is for men is to wear Dhoti or Mundu without any upper clothing you can use Angavastra to cover your upper body. for women, they must wear traditional attire such as Sarees, Dhoties or Pavadas with a blouse.
